Roatan Map and Villa Delfin location
Villa Delphin is conveniently located midway between the charming town of West End and the resort beach town of
West Bay. Is it approximately a 30 minute drive from the airport. We are on a private hillside lot just a 3 minute walk
down to the beach. From there, off of our private dock, simply flag down a water taxi to take you into either West end or
West Bay (a 5 minute ride). Or if you feel like a walk, it takes approx. 15 minutes to walk to either location on one
of the most beautiful Caribbean beaches in the world! If you wish to rent a car, there are many rental companies to choose
from and lots of sight seeing to do!
Roatan is the largest of the Bay Islands and is located in the Western Caribbean Sea
approximately 35 miles off the coast of Honduras. This submerged mountain ridge is also
the world's second largest barrier reef, home to a diversity of aquatic life and world
class scuba diving. Roatan island is a long thin island, approximately 35 miles in length. It is a tropical paradise,
whose lush jungle covered hills, pristine white sandy beaches, amazingly clear turquoise waters
and relaxed atmosphere make it a world class vacation destination. Air temperatures average between
72 - 90 degrees Fahrenheit while the water maintains a temperature between 78-82 degrees Fahrenheit.
Roatan is easily accessible from the United States with direct flights from Houston and Miami with
TACA and Continental airlines. Both flights are approximately 2 hours 45 minutes. There are also
some direct flight charters coming in from Toronto and most recently Conquest Vacations has flight
packages from Vancouver to La Ceiba (which is on the mainland and just a short flight or ferry ride away)
during the winter months.
